Abstract
The structures of salts containing the ferrocenemonosulfonate anion and a range of nitrogen base cations are reported. It is found that electrostatic interactions, sometimes enhanced by hydrogen bonds, generally lead to layer-type structures with the sulfonate group playing a key role in the association with the cations. © 2008 American Chemical Society.
